We are looking for a Marketing Assistant (or perhaps a more senior Marketing Coordinator with relevant prior experience in a similar role) to support the firm’s marketing and business development activities.

Duties are wide and varied, including content creation and managing social media channels, event management, newsletter management, and liaising with local press and other relevant outlets on behalf of the firm. Additionally, this role will provide some administrative support, such as scheduling meetings and networking events, as well as managing mailing lists.

We are looking someone who will be a self starter, but also who is not afraid to ask when they need help. A good sense of humour is a must, as well as the ability to work under a bit of pressure at times. Due to the nature of the firm and our wide client base, we market across a broad range of channels and are involved in, or support, a wide range of events, charities and community groups. We’re more about the person and potential, than the CV.

Main duties / key responsibilities:

  • Working with the Partner in charge of marketing, Ben Ironmonger, and other heads of departments to plan and execute appropriate social media posts and regular e-newsletters to promote and grow the firm’s online presence.
  • Creating content for social media and the firm’s website.
  • Copywriting – producing copy for website, social media, newsletters, and local press outlets from time to time.
  • Analysing results and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Liaising with our third party marketing agency, web designers and other suppliers, on content creation, video, graphic design, marketing merchandise and so on.
  • Events coordination – organising the firm’s hosted events, booking external networking events and so on.
  • Local PR and sponsorships – charities, shows, events, wider community.
  • General support to the partnership on all things marketing and business development.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Experience as a business user of relevant social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, including content generation and analysing results.
  • An eye for detail.
  • Proofreading.
  • Word, Outlook, Teams, Office 365
  • Relevant marketing experience in a B2B environment
  • Good copywriting skills
  • Be proactive and identify opportunities, solve problems and complete tasks without close supervision.
  • Be friendly and a team player.
