What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who shares our values and thrives in a busy, client-focused environment.
You’ll be:
- An experienced Paralegal with a strong background in private client work (wills, probate, trusts, estate planning).
- Someone who has completed relevant study (Paralegal training, CILEx Foundation, or equivalent).
- Reliable, responsive, and able to manage complex matters under pressure.
- A clear communicator who builds trust with clients and colleagues.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working independently while supporting senior colleagues.
- Committed to delivering excellent service with sound judgment and professionalism.
Essential skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a legal environment, ideally in private client law.
- Knowledge of estate administration, wills, trusts, and probate.
- Strong document preparation and proofreading skills.
- Excellent communication and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal case management systems.
- A client-focused mindset with empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
What you’ll be doing:
- Take client instructions, schedule appointments, and conduct initial interviews.
- Draft legal documents such as wills, powers of attorney, trust documents, and probate forms.
- Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and third parties on behalf of solicitors.
- Conduct legal research on private client matters and assist with case preparation.
- Manage files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court and registration requirements.
- Attend client meetings and signings, assist with document execution, and carry out site visits.
- Support billing and accounting tasks, including preparing invoices and tracking billable hours.
- Participate in marketing and networking activities to promote the firm.
