You’ll be:

  • An experienced Paralegal with a strong background in private client work (wills, probate, trusts, estate planning).
  • Someone who has completed relevant study (Paralegal training, CILEx Foundation, or equivalent).
  • Reliable, responsive, and able to manage complex matters under pressure.
  • A clear communicator who builds trust with clients and colleagues.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working independently while supporting senior colleagues.
  • Committed to delivering excellent service with sound judgment and professionalism.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a legal environment, ideally in private client law.
  • Knowledge of estate administration, wills, trusts, and probate.
  • Strong document preparation and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and legal case management systems.
  • A client-focused mindset with empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take client instructions, schedule appointments, and conduct initial interviews.
  • Draft legal documents such as wills, powers of attorney, trust documents, and probate forms.
  • Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and third parties on behalf of solicitors.
  • Conduct legal research on private client matters and assist with case preparation.
  • Manage files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court and registration requirements.
  • Attend client meetings and signings, assist with document execution, and carry out site visits.
  • Support billing and accounting tasks, including preparing invoices and tracking billable hours.
  • Participate in marketing and networking activities to promote the firm.
