Richard Wadsworth

Richard has worked for many years as a specialist private client lawyer having qualified into this area of law in 2007. He undertakes all areas of private client work including lifetime estate and tax planning, probate and estate administration, trust creation and administration, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work.  He undertakes Executor, Trustee, attorneyship and deputyship appointments, as well as advising clients who are taking on those roles themselves.

Richard has wide experience of dealing with complex Will drafting and complicated estate administration matters including those involving foreign assets, business assets and agricultural assets.   His family circumstances have lead to him taking a particular interest in structuring provision for disabled beneficiaries though assisting the family with succession planning and subsequent trust administration. 

In 2024, Richard officially became a member of STEP - demonstrating his commitment to high professional standards, and inspiring confidence in families planning their assets across generations. Full STEP members, known as TEPs, are internationally recognised as experts in their field, with specialist knowledge, skills, proven qualifications and experience.

Rebecca Hatton

Rebecca is a solicitor and has considerable experience in all areas of Private Client work. Her expertise includes the drafting of Wills whether simple or complex, preparation of Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney. She also has extensive experience in Estate Administration, both in cases where there is a Will and where there is no Will. Rebecca provides practical advice as to whether Probate is necessary and offers a range of services to assist.

Rebecca is an accredited Lifetime Lawyer who specialises in advising vulnerable and older people, she is part of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers who are on a mission to support vulnerable and older people with the right legal advice.

Rebecca is committed to supporting her clients during difficult times and advising in a manner that is easy to understand. She is a Dementia Friend (an initiative created by the Alzheimer's Society), accredited with the Association of Lifetime Lawyers, and is working towards the full STEP accreditation.

Danielle Harvey

Danielle qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and joined the private client team at Scott Bailey in July 2024. She is able to advise on Will drafting, preparation of Lasting Powers of Attorney, registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney and estate administration.

Danielle is a member of the Bournemouth and District Law Society, Dementia Friends (which is an Alzheimer's Society initiative), The Association of Lifetime Lawyers and she is a full STEP member.

Katie Dougan

Katie is a solicitor with extensive experience in all areas of Private Client work - which includes drafting simple or complex Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration.

Katie has been connected to the area for many years and is committed to giving great service. She is known for her friendly and sensitive manner, and is currently working towards becoming STEP accredited.

Alexandra Bridle - Solicitor in Lymington

Alexandra Bridle

Alexandra is a paralegal in our Private Client team with over eight years of experience in handling a broad range of Private Client matters. She has a particular interest in matters with a foreign element and has extensive experience of administering estates with assets situated across multiple jurisdictions. Alexandra has a wealth of experience in the administration of assets held in North America including arranging death registration on shareholdings and the recovery of unclaimed property (escheated assets) from the relevant State in the USA.

Alexandra has commenced her studies with CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) to become a Chartered Legal Executive and CILEx Probate Practitioner.

Laura Keith

Laura is an experienced Private Client Paralegal, specialising in the preparation of Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and the administration of estates. Laura supports clients through what can often be a sensitive time, ensuring they receive clear, practical guidance at every stage. 

She is experienced in the extraction of Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration and routinely handles all aspects of estate administration, to include the preparation of Inheritance Tax returns. 

Laura is committed to delivering an efficient, empathetic service tailored to each client’s individual needs. She is a member of Dementia Friends and is currently working towards the full STEP accreditation.
